Frequently Asked Questions

What are your prices?

Prices for all of our services are based on a standardized pricing system. We have to charge a minimum service charge, plus additional charges depending on size, shape, materials, and labor needed to complete your project. Since each snow removal area, yard and project have different needs, costs are individualized to each customer. We’d be happy to discuss a breakdown of costs for your unique project and needs, please just reach out to us for an estimate!

My lawn hasn’t been mowed recently. How long will it take?

On your very first mowing service, if the lawn is overgrown it can take the crew 2-3 times longer to mow the grass. This initial cut will cost extra to establish defined edges and an appropriate grass length but after that your price will fall in alignment with the standard fees.

My lawn doesn't take long to mow. Where does the price come from?

Even if the lawn is small, we still must charge our minimum service charge. Trucks, trailers, insurance, fuel, and other expenses make it important for us to charge that minimum fee. Also, our full time office staff take time to service and account for each Client for billing, invoicing, and customer service.

What effects the pricing for Mowing Services?

Shape: For example, a perfectly rectangular lawn will take less time to mow in comparison to an odd shaped lawn with flowerbeds and obstacles scattered throughout.

Size: The larger the yard, the more work there is and the more time it will take! If your yard is large enough, we may even need multiple employees to complete your maintenance in a reasonable amount of time.

Access: Small gates into backyards keep us from using larger mowing equipment, and increases the time it takes to mow the backyard if it is fenced in. If the yard is open or has a large enough gate that our larger mowers can get to it, then we’re able to spend less time mowing.

Clippings Disposal: We assume that we will be hauling the clippings to the dump. On large properties, having the clippings side-discharged and left on the lawn will reduce the price.

What about patios, retaining walls, and construction?

Each project is different! Patio pricing will change depending on size (square footage), type of materials the customer wishes to use, access to the site, straight vs. curved edges, and other variables. Retaining walls are more of the same: the height of the wall, straight vs curves, type of materials, access to the site, backfill material, and slope play a big role in determining the cost of a retaining wall project. And the same goes for any decking or construction projects. Please allow us to give you a custom estimate for your project today!

How long will it take for you to clear my property/driveway/parking lot/roadway after a snowfall?

Our team of employees are always working tirelessly especially throughout the winter season to remove snow from the properties of all of our clients in a timely manner. When a snowstorm may hit your area, we will more than likely dispatch our fleet as soon as there is some snow accumulation and will continue to make the rounds all night long, and into the next day if required. Should the storm hit during daylight hours, we will dispatch in a timely fashion and continue clearing until the snowfall has abated, no matter what time of night. We work as long as the storm does!

It may take us some time to get to your property as we have multiple clients spread throughout the tri-county area and we do our best to get to everyone as quickly as possible and design our routes for each driver in the most time efficient way possible. We promise we will not forget you and we will get to you as soon as we can during and after the snowfall. If you need your removal completed by a certain time (such as business opening hours), please contact us and make that request at the time of scheduling. We will always do our best to honor our clients needs!

What effects the pricing for Snow Removal Services?

Size: The larger the space that needs to be cleared, the more passes it will take and therefore will take more time! If your area you wish to be cleared of snow is large enough, we may even need multiple employees to complete your maintenance in a reasonable amount of time.

Access: Any gates, small corners or turns that may keep us from using our trucks and large snow removal equipment will effect the price for your property’s snow maintenance. These things would force us to use our smaller equipment such as snow blowers or even shovels and would therefore take more time for us to complete the task at hand.

Salt: We assume most commercial properties and public roadways will want us to spread ice melting rock salt, and we will have to charge accordingly for the product we need to use for the size of your job area. If you choose to not have us spread salt or other ice melt/ice preventative we may be able to offer you lower cost.
